Lough Erne Golf Resort
Lough Erne Golf Resort is located in a spectacular lakeland setting outside Enniskillen in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. The development was the brainchild of local native Jim Treacy and is one of the most desirable settings anywhere in Ireland.
Nick Faldo was responsible for designing the championship layout that is sure to grab considerable international attention when it opens later this year. Teenage sensation Rory McIlroy is the touring professional attached to Lough Erne, where there is no need for man-made lakes – nature has already provided them. Faldo used his expertise to design the course around the perimeter of the island, which means most of the holes run along the edge of Lough Erne.
The hotel complex has an authentic country manor appearance with the interior and finishing kept to a luxurious traditional theme. The warm and friendly surrounds provide a relaxed atmosphere and understated luxury for guests to the resort. Lough Erne is managed by Hotel Partners, one of Ireland’s leading hotel management companies.
Carr Golf Services were brought on board to work alongside Hotel Partners and develop the golf side of the business. When the golf pavilion is completed adjacent to the hotel, Carr Golf Services will develop the golf operations alongside the team on the ground to ensure it successfully integrates with the hotel business.
